Robyn \’Dancing On My Own\’ (Official Video)
So I am completely loving the new Robyn song and video. I’ve been dancing and listening to it almost non-stop since it was released. I’m not sure why I’m so into it, but it’s doing a lot for me right now. For some reason I feel more like I’m 16 lately than 26.

I started blogging because I need an outlet. I have been driving myself crazy for the last three years by refusing to write down my thoughts and share them with others. I have been terrified of letting other people see my thoughts because three years ago I was outed to my parents through a Facebook note while I was studying abroad in France.

I love Greta Christina. I’m glad one of my friends linked to this on Facebook.
Today, I want to point something out I would have thought was obvious:
This is a blog.
And every single blog post in it is… well, a single blog post.
Here’s what I’m talking about. Among many theistic commenters, there seems to be an odd expectation that every single post I write about religion should address every single aspect of religion that exists, or has ever existed. When I write about X, it’s pointed out that I didn’t write about Y; when I write about Y, I’m scolded for not writing about Z. (Or about X, for that matter.)

I’m sitting here listening to my “Junior High” playlist on my computer that I made back in 2002 when I first entered college as a freshman. I have a new year’s party to go to in about two hours and for some reason I’ve been thinking about how different of a person I am today than I was back in 2000 at age 15. At 15 I was a Bible-thumping super annoying hypocritical brat who had convinced himself that he was in love with a young girl who had recently moved away. I thought I would grow up to be an engineer or a preacher. The politics bug had not bitten me yet. I spent that night at a small lake setting off firecrackers with my friends. If someone had told me at 15 I would believe what I now believe I would have told them that they were insane.
